Hey there! I'm Luca Smigoski, your go-to guy for all things web, mobile, and SaaS. I'm all about turning big ideas into even bigger realities with a dash of creativity and a whole lot of code. Whether you're looking to build from scratch or give your existing platform a facelift, I'm here to make it happen. Ready to make some digital magic together? Let's get started!
As a software engineer, I focus on developing both front-end and back-end components for web applications, along with dev-ops responsibilities related to the development and deployment of server instances, serverless functions, and queue systems. My primary project was developing a tracking system for player and match data in games like Counter Strike 2 and Old School Runescape (full stack) and Fortnite (front-end only). Additionally, I've created web scraping bots for news and a content creation system leveraging OpenAI technology. My roles also included updating libraries, starting projects from scratch, and upgrading to newer versions of frameworks.
As a freelance developer specializing in front-end and mobile applications, I have crafted software solutions for both local and international businesses. My projects include developing a management software for an aluminum window company using Angular versions 8 to 14, and a similar solution for a real estate agency. Additionally, I built the public website for the aluminum window company using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX/jQuery. On the mobile front, I developed an Android app for pet adoption and rescue using Java and XML. I continue to engage in freelance projects to study, enhance my skills, and develop my own products.
As a front-end developer at a financial services company, my responsibilities included developing new features, resolving bugs, managing weekly deployments, and conducting code reviews using Angular versions 12 to 14. In the latter part of my tenure, I was promoted to Senior Front-End Developer and took charge of the front-end team. The company specializes in financial products such as loans, credit cards, and virtualized bank accounts.
As a semi-senior front-end developer contracted through Epidata, I was initially assigned to work for Naranja X, a financial services company. My duties included developing new features and resolving bugs using Angular version 12. Due to my strong performance, Naranja X absorbed me as their direct employee, continuing with similar responsibilities. This role involved handling critical development tasks that supported the company's financial products, such as loans, credit cards, and virtualized bank accounts.
As a front-end developer, I was tasked with creating features and fixing bugs for an internal management system at Molinos Agro, a leading grain exporting company and raw material producer. The system was designed to control and geolocate ships at sea, tracking their segments and journeys to other countries for export purposes. My work involved using Angular versions 8 to 10, focusing on enhancing the functionality and reliability of the system to support the company's logistical and export operations.
